MOVIE REVIEW - Cellular (2004)

The worst movie of the year (and I DID see The Door In The Floor, the previously worst movie of the year). Oh My Word. They actually made this movie? So lame, a teeny-bopper thriller that just didn't work. It's all in the expectations, I guess - I thought it was going to be a thriller in the vein of Phone Booth. It wasn't - think "a B-movie version of Joy Ride". There were about 5 groups of people in the theatre, and at various times, different ones of us (who weren't together) would burst out laughing in highly inappropriate places - the most intense section - because of how lame it was. Awful dialogue, weak plot, weak acting (who knew that William H. Macy had pathetic acting moments?), just so incredibly bad. And how have I never noticed before that Kim has man-hands?
