This is considered Oscar worthy?? It's not bad, but certainly not commendable in any way. The premise (two guys run off for a week of pleasure before one of their's wedding) tells you most everything you need to know. One is a party guy, one is a pensive guy. Ok, play out the movie, there you have it. Nothing deep here. The somber guy's aristocratic behavior relating to wine tasting will excite the uppity crowd, but I thought they were a little proud of themselves for trying to be cultured.

MOVIE REVIEW - Sideways (2004)
This is considered Oscar worthy?? It's not bad, but certainly not commendable in any way.
