Sean Penn directed this bummer film. David Morse is a terrific actor, and he almost brought this movie to life. But it was just too depressing. It's the story of two brothers (Morse and Viggo Mortensen); Morse has chosen the good life, Viggo is "restless" - always trying to walk the straight path, but always being pulled to the dark - by what? Innate depravity. Decent attempt, but just not fun.

MOVIE REVIEW - No Way To Treat A Lady (1968)
I can't remember why this 1968 thriller was on my NetFlix queue. Rod Steiger was quite good as a serial killer who disguises himself to enter women's homes, make them feel happy for a couple of moments, and then strangle them. He was a terrific actor, and if this movie had been made today, it could've been done quite well. But it was very Sixties production quality.

MOVIE REVIEW - Harold And Kumar Go To White Castel (2004)
Very funny, great context - two stoners get the munchies, try to make their way to White Castle, and keep getting derailed along the way. But they never lose their need for those delicious burgers. You'd think this was a "Dumb & Dumber", but Harold and Kumar are two really smart guys that also happen to be stoned throughout the movie. So the humor is intelligent (though wacky). Lots of cursing, some nudity, lots of drugs, and certainly a few wasted dumb scenes. But overall, quite funny. Also, the extras were Great - the DVD menu is brilliant (Harold and Kumar sitting in their car, looking at us looking at the menu… "Hey Harold, we're on a DVD. Hey look, there's options down there to play the movie, jump to a scene, watch the extras…" "I hope there are good extras. I hate those DVDs that just have a trailer." "Hey, why aren't they pressing a button? Press a button, moron!" - and it goes on for about 10 minutes :)).
